IPv4 address space to run out this year or next

Just found some interesting articles on IPv4 address space depletion. The general consensus seems to be that IANA will run out of IPv4 address space either this year or next. This means there will be no more address space available to be allocated to the various Regional Internet Registries (e.g. RIPE, ARIN etc.). They will then start to run out of their allocated space in early 2012. When that happens there will be no more address space available to be allocated.
