We’ve just come back from a weekend in the Cotwolds. It was a lovely break away from it all. We stayed at a place near Stow-in-the-Wold and went for a walk from Bourton-on-the-Water across country past Rissington Mill, Little Rissington Church and then back on the main road to Bourton-on-the-Water from Little Rissington. We had planned to walk a lot farther but there was still a lot of snow on the ground and the going was pretty tough, we were also going to run out of light, so we cut it short. It always makes me laugh when you follow so called "public footpaths" as most of them tend to cut straight across muddy fields. Luckily I was wearing my hiking boots so no probs with getting wet or cold feet.
I took my new D200 along to give a good workout, but as it was cloudy the light was pretty flat. It’ll be nice down there in the summer though so must go back when the weather’s better. Pics are in a new album I’ve uploaded (although MSN’s new photo album software doesn’t let me re-order or even rotate the pics, seems like it’s gone back a step from the old photo upload tool they used to use, tsch!).
